Kozhikode, 11 February 2026: As part of its ongoing initiative to connect students with industry professionals, Vismayam College of Art and Media organized a special guest session on 11 February 2026 at 10:00 AM.
The session was led by Ayyappadas Aravindakshan, Senior Assistant Editor at Manorama News. The interactive programme provided students with valuable insights into the rapidly evolving media landscape, journalism practices, news production, and the growing influence of digital platforms in modern communication.
During the session, the speaker shared his professional experiences from the media industry and discussed the importance of credibility, ethics, storytelling, and adaptability in journalism. Students gained a deeper understanding of how news is gathered, verified, produced, and delivered to audiences in today’s fast-paced media environment.
The programme witnessed enthusiastic participation from students of B.Sc. Visual Communication, Diploma in Multimedia Design, Digital Marketing, Interior Design, and other programmes. The interactive question-and-answer segment enabled students to engage directly with the media expert and seek guidance regarding career opportunities in journalism, broadcasting, content creation, and digital media.
Faculty members appreciated the session for providing students with practical industry exposure beyond the classroom. The event reflected Vismayam’s commitment to bridging the gap between academic learning and professional practice through meaningful interactions with experienced industry leaders.
