VFX Industry

The art and craft of creating scenarios that cannot be effectively captured on camera using live-action and computer-generated (CG) sequences are known as visual effects (VFX). A career in VFX is undoubtedly gratifying and gives young people looking for such work prospects a sense of creative fulfillment.

Over the past few years, there has been a significant transformation in films and cartoons, including employing handcrafted and original items, a green screen, and visual effects to provide dramatic results. VFX has transformed the movie by creating a realism that is not physically feasible but appears natural. One of the global sectors with the fastest growth is visual effects (VFX). Graphic designers are quickly moving towards 3D modeling and animation, and the sector is expanding quickly and provides a wide range of opportunities.

Career opportunities

VFX has established itself as a mainstream field of labor, thanks to the film industry’s enormous international growth and the locally created production management division. An individual who wants to pursue VFX as a professional path must be proficient in various areas, including programming, technicality, and artistic methods. There are many career opportunities and options in the VFX industry, such as VFX editor, VFX artist, VFX animator, Texture artist, etc. In addition to these employment opportunities, this professional route offers considerable growth potential. Every industry uses visual effects, including games, film and drama television, post-production, animation, and more. CG and VFX careers are available in all of these fields.

Job Roles & Scope

The individual responsible for visual effects is known as a VFX artist. VFX artists work in a wide range of industries; they are not simply restricted to the movie industry. For instance, a gaming corporation depends heavily on these visual effects, and recently developed technologies like VFX and CGI are also crucial to the film industry. In addition, modelers, texture artists, previsualists, etc., use VFX. The word “visual effects,” sometimes known as “VFX,” refers to numerous studios. A visual representation of the vast scope of digital marketing & its importance

Since the world is becoming more and more digital, the scope of digital marketing is increasing unsurprisingly. There are a number of digital channels used by businesses in order to communicate with current and potential clients, including search engines, social media, email, and other websites. It has become more and more important to use digital marketing platforms since they are so accessible.

Scope in India

More than 749 million people in India used the Internet in 2020. Surprisingly, it is anticipated that by 2040, this number will increase by nearly 1.5 billion. The fact that over 43% of Indians use the internet frequently explains why there is an increasing need for knowledgeable digital marketers. In fact, among the top ten skills that employers are seeking, digital marketing is listed in a recent LinkedIn research. There is an increasing need for marketing experts with the necessary hard skills to fulfill particular responsibilities in digital marketing. In this digital age, a career in digital marketing is a great option because there are many aspects to it and there is a seeming lack of digital skills.

Digital marketing has expanded as a result of the expansion of the field, which increases opportunities for professionals. Those who want to work in the digital marketing field must possess both solid technical skills as well as strong soft skills. Annual trends emerge in the field of digital marketing and fast become outmoded as more companies and technological advancements join it. Through 2023 and beyond, we see a few themes having an impact in this sector. Marketers from many sectors are contacting social media influencers to grow their brands. This type of digital advertising is gaining popularity swiftly because consumers place more trust in their peers than they do in businesses. More companies will leverage these influencers to increase sales in 2023 and beyond. Choosing a career in digital marketing will be a great decision as the scope of digital marketing in India is increasing day by day.

How to Create a Professional Interior Design Portfolio?

Interior design portfolio

An interior design portfolio is a collection of visual representations that showcase past and current interior design projects, similar to a resume. An outstanding portfolio showcases why an individual should be selected to join a team of designers or hired by a company. An interior design portfolio highlights an interior designer’s personality and planning abilities. A portfolio usually showcases an individual’s style, fashion sense, and creative processes through imagery rather than words, as it contains more pictures than text.

Important steps to make an interior design portfolio
Whether you want to work for an established firm or go it alone, you must show that you are a skilled and competent professional who can be relied on to produce quality work.

Craft an attractive introduction
It is critical to include an introduction in your portfolio. It aims to give readers a clear understanding of who you are and what you hope to achieve in your career. Consider writing a brief biography highlighting your educational background, design philosophy, and exceptional interior design skills. This introduction will establish the tone for the rest of your portfolio.

Select and add design samples
Next, choose a variety of samples that demonstrate your best qualities and abilities as an interior designer. The setup of the samples can be something other than client projects, as you can include renderings, drawings, color swatches, and other exciting content. What is crucial is that the samples you choose represent the business image and design style you want to convey to forecasts.

Organize your design samples
One of the most thought-provoking facets of making a creative portfolio is unifying your work correctly. Creating your book apparent and scannable will help readers navigate your portfolio and discover what’s closest to their interests.

Update your portfolio
As an interior designer, you are continuously embryonic; let your interior design portfolio replicate that! Add new projects as they are completed. And get rid of any older ones that have become out of date. It’s also critical to keep your portfolio current with industry trends.

Logo designers

Logo designers an overview

Professional graphic designers who specialise in logo design develop distinctive and personalised brand graphics for the person or business that hired them. A logo designer may operate independently, be employed full-time by a design company or advertising agency, or be employed on a temporary basis. The majority of professional logo designers have a graphic design college degree and occasionally have marketing and advertising expertise.

Designers must be able to fully immerse themselves in the field of their clients. This could entail doing extensive research on a certain product or digging deep into the particulars of how the company offers its services. To create a logo that will set the client’s company apart from the competition, extensive market and competitor research is required. A branding questionnaire or briefing meeting is the best resource a skilled logo designer can have.

Inexperienced logo designers frequently become distracted by the desire to examine the specifics of a company logo. But the most talented designers will be able to conceptualise. A designer should compile and evaluate all of the information provided regarding preferred colour and font choices, logo styles, and prospective company names or slogans while having the branding questionnaire and creative briefing notes at the ready. A first logo sketch can be created by a designer thanks to their ability to see the wider picture. The finest designers will use font libraries, mood boards, and colour wheels to be ready for the first draught. At this point, it is important to examine every possible design idea.

To think logically and strategically, great logo designers need to be able to conceive conceptually. The fact that clients will use their logo for all of their marketing endeavours must be considered by designers. Logos need to be flexible enough to use on websites, social media platforms, print ads, and promotional items. To get a better idea of how the final logo design should seem, ask the client how they want to sell their new brand.

Inexperienced logo designers frequently place an undue emphasis on their notes from the creative briefing or the responses they wrote in the branding questionnaire. It’s crucial to be adaptable and accommodating to client requests and last-minute changes. Great logo designers should also feel comfortable explaining the complexities of the design industry to their clients.

In order to be successful in the logo design business, a designer must be able to effectively explain the concept of design to a customer, accept constructive criticism of their work, provide inventive solutions to a problem, and work toward compromises on the design.

graphic designers

creating a brand logo is stepbystep

Graphic designers are competent in creating logos and can make them. It’s a cursory assessment. Even though a logo is only a graphic design, it has significant marketing and commercial value. Building an effective logo is possible if the graphic designer knows how to accomplish it properly. Here is a step-by-step guide to help graphic designers create a brand logo:

Research and understand the need

It is critical for designers to research and understands the firm, its aims, and its logo design needs. It is essential to research the company’s target audience so that you can design for them.

Find inspiration

Start exploring ideas once you’ve received the basic specifications from the customer and understand what they want in their logo.

Examine the competitors

The brand does not exist in a vacuum, and there are rivals in the market, and the logo assists clients in distinguishing between different brands. When creating a logo for an organization, take inspiration from their competitors’ logos.

Choose the right type

The logo comes in different sizes. Shapes, colors, and variants are available. Because the logo will be the initial thing, people see, ensure you hit the target by selecting the proper type for your company. A logo can be anything from a primary wordmark or letter mark to a complicated graphic. Although there are no hard and fast guidelines for choosing one, you can always explore your logo ideas.

Recognize the psychology

The correct symbol can establish its identity even if a brand does not have a name. There are numerous examples of this (Twitter, Apple, etc.). The human mind responds better to images than text, and Visuals tend to stick with customers longer. Before we read the language in the design, we see the forms. Logos that use unusual, innovative, and one-of-a-kind graphics get more attention from the general population and have become more well-known among the general public.

Be pragmatic

If you want to develop a logo that has a powerful effect, you must continually experiment with different designs. However, when testing, keep in mind the actual use.

Finally, there are no hard and fast rules or sure-fire methods for creating outstanding logo designs. Ultimately, your individuality and creativity will be weighed, and nothing can compensate for a lack of imagination, a new perspective, and a current outlook.

creative animation

creative animation artist

The state of being full of life or energy; liveliness” is the definition of animation. And that’s what animators do: they use 2D and 3D animation to produce motion graphics that breathe life into static images. Most of creative animation artists are interested in or have experience with art or graphic design. As a matter of fact, the majority of motion graphic designers have solid sketching and creative graphic design skill sets. However, as they pursue or investigate those opportunities, they also learn about and add motion graphics design to their list of knowledge and competencies.

The animators must be adept at taking an idea or notion and turning it into a sketch that elaborates on it. Before finishing the final version, they can typically make multiple iterations of a drawing or animation and make numerous edits. Creative animation artists should be adept at leveraging constructive criticism to make necessary improvements for the business or customer.

A creative animation artist should have great interpersonal skills, the ability to work independently and as part of a team, and the ability to fulfill deadlines that are frequently short. They should also be aware that project requirements might alter at any time, and they should be free to make changes and edits—even ones that take precedence over their original ideas. In the film and television industries, but also for web, video, and mobile demands, animation artists are essential to every level of the creative process, from conception to storyboarding and editing.

As an animation artist, you employ your excellent experience in the arts to craft gripping narratives that captivate audiences and leave them wanting more. A degree and several qualifications in the use of significant and modern software tools are frequently held by 3D animators. A 3D animator may major in design or computer engineering at a university. The best colleges provide design degrees that enable students to have a general understanding of the industry before specializing in animation, advertising, or other fields. Certificates attesting to your proficiency with critical programs like Adobe Creative Suite, Modo, Softimage, or AutoCAD are crucial when you’re just starting out or working as a freelancer.

Studying Interior design: Regular or Online?

There are many ways in which you can study interior design. To begin with, you can search for materials on this topic. If you really want to learn for a professional touch, you can search for institutes, colleges, and online platforms. And when you list them down, you can clearly see two categories. One allows you to learn interior design online and the other group requires you to go to classes. Ofcourse, you may find it difficult to decide on it. So, this blog is all about the pros and cons of each type.

1.ONLINE INTERIOR DESIGN COURSES

There are many universities that offer online programs on designing. It includes basic certificate courses to graduate level and beyond. Also, some colleges also offer specialties in design field. Let us see how the whole concept fits your scheme of things.

Pros:

  • Quite convenient: All you need is a working PC/laptop and internet. You can literally be anywhere and still study.
  • Flexible: Running a fever? No issues, take your time, recover and then make up for your lost time. That is because there is no attendance pressure.
  • Accommodating : Because of its flexibility, you can learn while you earn. So, no real need of quitting your job, you just have to burn the midnight oil!

Cons:

  • Little interaction: Since all the learning takes place online, you really do not get large realtime interaction. This may take you to communication lag since your next email becomes your response. This again depends on when you are free to reply.
  • Lack of Spot guidance: When you study and come up with a doubt that blocks your progress, you long for someone who could guide you. However, internet becomes your saviour. Again, that is, if you have the time.
  • No supervision: You struggle day and night to make a project with whatever you could study. But all that work ususally goes unsupervised. Now even if you mail a drawing for correction after completing it, mistakes mean another lot of hours on the same drawing again. This is becuase there is no one to point your mistakes on the spot.
  • Limited feedbacks: You mail your presentations to your mentors who give you a feedback. Which is quite different from getting an opportunity to browse through your batchmates works before submitting.
  • Limited exposure: According to credits, you may or may not have extra elements like seminars, site visits or workshops. Ouch, that is indeed a big con.
  • No ‘campus’ life: That, obviously, will not happen since you won’t be attending the college really.

2. STUDYING IN INTERIOR DESIGN CLASSES

To study interior design, many people get admission into interior design institutes and colleges. So what exactly sets them going? Know about the advantages and disadvantages about learning in classes.

Pros:

  • Daily interaction: To study interior design, you have to go to your classes every day. So, your daily interaction boosts your social and creative aspects.
  • Spot supervision: All your mentors guide you through each work you do. And most of the times, the mistakes get corrected on the spot itself.
  • Improved communication: A big pro, this one. You get to ask and clarify your doubts in the class and that definitely improves your understanding of the subject.
  • Access to resources: A college means a library as well. Now you don’t have to roam around town to read a reference book. Furthermore, you can ask your teachers about other digital resources.
  • Extra opportunities: Such as workshops, seminars, site visits and conferences. A good college regularly boosts your creativity and gives you exciting platforms to express your talents.
  • Campus life: Naturally, by the end of your course, you not only have your degree, but also memories of your college life as well!
  • Job Boosts: An interesting point to note is campus placements. Your regular performance in college gives the placement cell to fish suitable positions for you to apply for, once you complete your course. Now, how can that be effective in an online mode?
  • Meeting with experts: Most of the times, your teachers are subject experts who practice or have field experience. And these people teach you each topic, instead of you sitting at your home and studying by yourself. How cool is that?!
  • Personality boost: When you study interior design in a college, you have a good chance of attending sessions on personality, grooming and interview skills. They see to it that you become nothing less than a professional!

Cons:

  • Attendance is important: Here comes in the importance of attendance. Your credits, eligibility to appear in exams, all depend on your presence in classes. So, better not to bunk them.

It is always better to know how, before you decide on where to study interior design. Do want to see how a standard design college looks like? Visit  vismayam college of art and media
