Scholarship

Vismayam College of Art and Media offers the Silver Jubilee professional course scholarship for 10th qualified candidates. The scholarship covers the complete course fee of the selected course of study. Candidates can choose either the one-year Professional Diploma in Multimedia Design or the one-year Diploma in Interior Design based on their aptitude. The scholarships are awarded to meritorious and economically weak students. The beneficiaries will be selected from the applicants by a Committee comprising eminent persons. A total of five students will be selected from candidates for both the Media Communication Department and the Interior Architecture Department. The following criteria shall be used to select the candidates:

1. The applicant’s Family Gross Income should not exceed ₹1,25,000 per annum.
2. Students should have passed the 10th standard and cleared it on the first attempt.
3. Age should be completed 17 years by June 1st, 2024.
4. Applications shall be submitted by students seeking the scholarship on the prescribed form. The form requires accurate Academic and Financial Information from the applicant.
5. The Awards Committee follows a Graded Score System for evaluating both Aptitude test Performance and Overall Financial Status of the applicant.
   a) Aptitude tests will be conducted by the concerned department of Vismayam College.
   b) Overall Financial Status will be determined taking income from all sources of the applicant’s family as a unit.
6. The Committee shall identify the student with the highest score for the concerned scholarship.
7. The selected candidate shall appear for an interview, if desired, with the Head of the Continuing Education Cell, at the final stage.
